The IPads of the Victorian Age
Chalkboards might not be one of the best sellers for a store, so the workers at this one thought their creativity would help get the boards off the shelves. Instead of marketing them to buyers as what they really are, they put a fun and unique twist on their chalkboards by calling them victorian i-pads instead. We never thought these could be special, but this store made that happen.
Technology is truly a part of everyone's lives, which means that tons of people own an iPad, so buying this victorian one will make you stand out in the crowd.
When Paris Fashion Week Reaches the Grocery Store
We never thought that toilet paper could create an award-worthy piece of clothing, but this supermarket display has proved us wrong. Instead of creating an uninteresting old pile of toilet paper packages like most stores, someone chose to make something special out of the materials they had. Somehow, they managed to turn this store section into an incredibly unique work of art that can't be found anywhere else.
If a grocery store worker made this display, they should probably look into a career path that has more to do with clothing design because this is so well executed.
It's All About Perspective
We're just going to go ahead and assume that the sign in this picture didn't exactly improve any diaper sales, and you likely get why. Sometimes, perspective really is critical, and customers standing in line at this register had a ton of time to question basically everything about themselves. That was surely the goal of this store, where the owner just might be one of the best salesmen we've ever seen.
This store found a really great way to boost its product sales while also making every single one of its customers think very deeply about all of their potential life choices. Do you prefer to buy protection now or diapers later?
Where's Rihanna?
There's no Super Bowl without a Super Bowl party, meaning beer almost always comes with it. It was a popular product in stores during this time, and this one made the most of it. They designed one of the best drink displays we've ever seen, where the beer cases have turned into a miniature version of the actual stadium where the game is played. Even mini bottles are in the middle, playing like tiny football players.
Supermarkets are usually packed around the Super Bowl, and this store wanted customers to buy some beer. So they used the crowd to its advantage, and we're optimistic it worked.
Lonely Bananas Looking for the One
This supermarket was starting to feel bad for their lonely bananas, which is why they chose to help them out. Since there aren't many people who come in to buy single bananas, they put out one of the best signs we've ever seen. This might not have stopped people from ripping a bunch apart to get what they want, but they surely found a way to make some customers laugh.
Most people buy a bundle of bananas before checking it off their grocery list, so that means the lonely ones often go to waste and end up in the trash.
There's Nothing Like the Perfect Avocado
Whoever put this meme in the avocado section is a genius and deserves a raise for so many reasons. Mainly because this sign is bound to have the supermarket sell many more avocados because of pure creativity. Of course, the Game of Thrones reference has more to do with dragon eggs, but they look like avocados, making them irresistible for people who love the show. This meme was truly executed to perfection, and we kind of love it.
Well, these avocados obviously aren't actually dragon eggs, but they're probably the closest thing you'll find to one. Dragon eggs might not really exist, but at least delicious avocados do.
The Devil's Favorite Mug
Store workers love to get creative around the holiday season, and this Target really tried to set the mood as Halloween approached. Since the price of these mugs is 6.66, someone decided to have some fun due to the spooky cost of these items by switching the letters around. Whether it was a customer who played with the display or a store worker, this scene was definitely worthy of a picture.
Most people aren't interested in thinking about the devil while going to the store to buy a mug, but this design couldn't be resisted since it goes perfectly well with their price.
A Big Bag of Snowman Noses
To you, carrots might be a delicious vegetable that goes great in a salad. To this supermarket, they're snowman noses, perfect for getting crafty on a snow day. This market wanted to find a way to sell their orange vegetables in the middle of the winter, so they came out with this cute name. We didn't think vegetables could have a purpose outside of eating, so this was very creative.
This advertising might make it really hard to bite into one of these carrots without thinking about the poor snowman hanging around without its nose, especially because you're eating it.
From Breaking Bad to Breaking Bread
The show, Breaking Bad, went viral as soon as it came out, and this bread section of a grocery store made a pun out of it. They made a show about criminal activity seem appetizing and utilized creativity to make the show relevant to buying baguettes. Not only that, but they also managed to find an artist to make the sign look exactly like the title and also included Walter's portrait.
If you've watched it, then you probably realized that breaking bread is a whole lot safer than breaking bad for reasons that have to do with the entire theme of the show.
When the Butcher Is Also a Sculptor
This supermarket's meat section made two of their available ground meats look super special by sculpting them into popular video game characters. These creations are inspired by a game called Mega Man, and there are hardly any differences between the actual characters and the meat versions of them. They're so cool that we wouldn't be surprised to hear customers bought them, took them home, and even cooked them in the same shape.
If you never thought ground meat could look so good, you might want to look again. Based on the signature, it even looks like these were designed by a professional artist.
The Locals All Love Jeff Now
Somewhere in the world, a man named Jeff has a price drop named after him just because he ordered a ton of hams. Due to Jeff and his mass amount of meaty purchases, a store reduced their prices for quite some time, and we're pretty sure everyone was happy about it. This supermarket also wasn't afraid to put Jeff's name on the spot since they hung up quite a few signs about the situation.
We don't know who Jeff is, but we wonder why he needed to buy so many hams and even want to partly thank him for making the prices lower for everyone else.
404 Error, Store Product Not Found
This store found a way to make an annoying internet code way more fun than it's ever been before. Since they were missing a product, they chose to let their customers know in a creative way. They could have left the sign empty, but one of this store's workers felt inventive. The message got across pretty clearly to anyone on a shopping trip who ever got a "404 Error" message on their computer.
Coming across the phrase "404" while going onto a website is definitely kind of frustrating, but finding it while walking into a store is certainly much more fun.
Salad Dressing With an Attitude
The only time someone would notice this would be if they were looking for a specific salad dressing; otherwise, most people would walk past this without seeing the joke. Yet that would be kind of unfortunate because even though this might annoy some people, there's no denying this is actually funny. Someone found an opportunity and took hold of that for the rest of the supermarket to see.
The salad dressing itself might not have an attitude, but it sure seems that way. The creator of this was either having a terrible day or was looking for some fun.
If Matt Damon Lived off Potatoes, so Can We
This reference might only apply to people who have watched the movie, but somebody was trying to let everyone know that if Matt Damon was able to live off potatoes, so could you. There's nothing better than coming across a movie connection at the most random time, and if you're ever heading on a trip to mars, we recommend stopping by this store to grab a couple of these potatoes.
Potatoes aren't exactly the prettiest thing in a vegetable shop, which is why most customers don't really pay much attention to them, so the movie was truly a great addition.
More Like "boneless Chick"
If you really think about it, everything written on this sign is technically correct, and false advertising just can't apply to this clever situation. There might not be the traditional version of boneless chicken sitting in this bowl, but eggs definitely don't have bones, and they certainly are (almost) chicken. That's why this sign works, but we can see how this would be misleading for customers who lack creative imagination.
The person who put this sign up felt imaginative when it was time to grab a marker to write the price down and might have accidentally devised a brand-new marketing strategy.
The World's One and Only Infinity Cat
This one-of-a-kind cat is so long it couldn't even fit into the frame of this picture, so we're pretty sure it's infinite. This creature is undoubtedly the world's first and only infinity cat, and it was made out of a bunch of boxes that look the same. This creation was perfect for grabbing a shopper's attention as they walk down the aisle because we can't think of a single person who would walk passed this without a smile.
Creativity is vital when it comes to sales, but this scene was likely also the result of a very bored store worker who wanted to have some fun while they could.
Invisibility Cloaks Really Do Exist
If you've ever watched a Harry Potter movie, then you likely know exactly what an invisibility cloak is, and this store has them on sale. Okay, we definitely don't want to ruin your imagination by saying that this was just a marketing prank because we would really love invisibility cloaks to be a real thing. As for now, they unfortunately only exist in the movies and aren't actually sold at this store.
We can't really tell you that invisibility cloaks don't exist; that's because they're invisible, so we wouldn't really be able to see them if they were actually a real thing.
The New and Improved Way to Use a Banana
We seriously hope that nobody bought these bananas intending to use them as a boomerang. Mainly because the disappointment will be high once it's thrown, and it just kind of flops onto the floor. The fact that a banana won't fly right back to you after it's flung is a reality; that's why they're much better for eating and not for sport. Luckily, here is no disappointment when you bite into one since they almost always taste amazing.
It looks like a customer might have wanted to play a very innocent prank on the rest of the people in the store by referring to these bananas as organic toys.
That's What We Call a Balanced Diet
If you're a wine lover, you might want to run to this supermarket to grab a bottle since they're allowing you to have one for lunch. It's more likely that whoever stocked the shelves didn't notice the sign above the wine bottles, but we're going to go ahead and have some fun with the label. There might even be some actual readymade meals on the other side of the shelves that might go great with the wine.
To some, wine might not be considered a ready meal, but this supermarket has no problem with at least giving their customers the option of having a bottle of wine for breakfast.
Garlic: Good for Cooking and for Repelling Vampires
Vampire hunters have to carry a very important and stinky kind of repellent with them for protection, and that is usually garlic. Due to the smell, vampires likely won't be the only thing that will keep a distance from you if you're walking around with containers of garlic. So, it's probably best to use the product for cooking instead of attempting to hunt scary creatures that may or may not exist for your best interest.
If you haven't already learned from the movies, vampires are terrified of garlic for an unknown reason. So, you might want to go to this section before a vampire hunt.
Buy in Bulk, Just Like the Hulk
Some people prefer to buy only what they need, while other shoppers love buying in bulk to make what they love last longer for a bargain. Even though the Hulk is a character that only exists in the movies, this store is saying that buying in bulk will make you just as big and strong as him. Of course, that's not necessarily true, but the average-sized customer might want to try at least.
Apparently, the Hulk buys in bulk, which does make sense because he really is humungous. For some reason, this store suggests that its normal-sized customers do the same exact thing.
Sometimes Honesty Is the Best Policy
Most stores love making items seem better than they actually are, but this one does the opposite. They've placed all of the "not the best but still good items" into a single bin while giving them a hefty price drop. They did this to let their customers know that they might not be buying the highest quality items in this section, but that doesn't mean that they don't taste good.
Not only did these items get a massive price drop, but this supermarket also let their customers know why while being kind enough to tell them that there are better options out there.
There Could Always Be Bears Up Ahead
If you were faced with the option of a nice cold drink versus running into some bears, you'd probably choose the drink. That's why this bar encourages people walking by to turn left instead of walking past it- you never know what could be waiting for you up ahead. If we're being honest, you likely won't run into any bears, but whoever wrote this on the chalkboard is truly a marketing genius.
The chances of your running into a bear while walking a suburban sidewalk are pretty rare, but that doesn't mean that it's impossible- this bar just wanted to make that known.
Someone Here Had a Lot of Time on Their Hands
The Marvel movies are a big hit, and it seems like a new one is being pushed into the movie theaters at least twice a year. Since they're so popular, it looks like this artist proposed a battle between Superman and Ironman and expressed this challenge by making art out of a soda can boxes. The display is viewable to shoppers, and although it has an intended message and goal, it's just awesome to look at.
This soda wall art might have been made with the avengers in mind, but we also think that whoever designed this was a superhero themselves, just because it's so detailed.
The Perfect Post-Apocalyptic Gift
Although a zombie apocalypse might not be happening anytime soon, it might be good to at least be prepared for when and if it ever does happen. At least, that's the mindset of whoever put up this sign, alongside a touch of looting energy. The original store sign recommends these knives as holiday gifts that are perfect for campers and hunters, but someone thought to put a funny twist on it by changing up the recommendations.
The only types of people that would refer to knives as anything other than a tool would probably be criminals and also people just waiting for the apocalypse.
We Call This One "farm to Grocery Cart"
This convenience store brought convenience to a whole new level since they've switched things up by letting their customers pick their own mushrooms. Instead of already choosing ones in a bin, they converted that area into an actual mushroom farm, which looks fantastic. They managed to bring a farming experience into their customers' weekly shopping routines, where they get to have a lot more fun than they would at any other supermarket.
We've never seen a pick-your-own-mushroom option at any local supermarket, but if you have, we're actually kind of jealous because there's nothing better than a freshly picked bunch of vegetables.
Mutant Ninja Turtles Love Pizza
Artists use many different kinds of mediums when it comes to creating, but raw ground beef is definitely new. A butcher working behind the counter might also be a secret artist since someone took the time to craft this meat into a Ninja Turtle. This design is bound to be an attention grabber, and a customer would likely choose to take this unique artwork home compared to any other uninteresting pile of meat.
Raw ground beef is far from delicious, but pizza is, and if you know anything about the Ninja Turtles, you would know that, like us, they love a slice of pizza.
These Cheese Orphans Need a Home
Not many people would consider cheese to be adorable, but this store discovered a way to make that happen. They likely had leftover chunks of cheese and wanted to find a cute way to get them sold individually. So, they decided to call them cheese orphans, which technically isn't wrong. Each chunk really is all on its own and is looking for a home that happens to be the cold drawer of a refrigerator.
These orphans happen to be made out of cheese and can be munched on without you having to feel bad for them. Of course, they also likely taste very good.
There's a Huge Difference Between "walkin' Around" Beer and "sittin' Down" Beer
Walking around a supermarket might sometimes get boring, which is why this supermarket put out a bucket of beer cans that their customers can walk around with to make everything more fun. Also, they're only 99 cents, meaning nobody will have to break the bank to have an enjoyable supermarket experience before checking off any items from their list. Honestly, every store should advertise beer cans at a fine bargain as this one has.
Some people absolutely hate shopping, so this store put out some beer cans to make the haters happy and make their shopping trip more enjoyable than it's ever been before.
What's Next? Paying Their Customers?
This sign is absolutely correct when it claims that the prices in this store are unbeatable. That's because you can't get much lower than $0.00, where the competition truly becomes nonexistent. We're not entirely sure if this store was giving away these storage containers for free. There could have been a typo here, but either way, customers here had a good enough reason to at least attempt to pay nothing for these items.
Your parents might have told you that not everything in life is free, which is relatively accurate. Although, that rule doesn't apply at this store when it comes to storage containers.
The Best Way to Target the Meme Generation
This popular meme is known as the Doge, and it has gone viral across the internet more times than we can count. An artist at this supermarket used the Doge's popularity by painting the dog onto a sign and turning it into a new and improved grocery store meme. They might have done this to get those chocolate bars sold, but if we're being honest, there's no denying that this sign is super fun to look at it.
In our modern day and age, memes have technically become a secret vocabulary for the younger generations. This store knew precisely who their target market was for these chocolate bars.
Can You Believe That's Made of Chalk?
There's only one time a year when stores can use fear to coerce their customers to buy candy, and that would be during Halloween. This store took a famous candy slogan and turned it into one of the nightmares where a werewolf is checking in to remind you to purchase some. This sales technique might not be recommended during any other time of the year, but this poster seems like it could work during the spooky season.
Fear and horror might really be the best policy during Halloween time when it comes to sales since this technique kind of fits the specific mood of the holiday season.
Love or Tequila
There isn't anything special about this bar's Valentine's Day special other than the fact that they're giving you the option to choose a drink over love. Not everyone has a partner during this time of the year, so this bar lets everyone know that they're both open and accept all the people out there as customers. Honestly, it's a kind recommendation, although tequila does come at a cost when love is typically free.
If it's Valentine's Day and you're single, chances are that you'd rather choose tequila over love. This bar already knew that, so they put this genius sign out as a reminder.
A Guaranteed Good Shopping Experience
Since this supermarket has put out free drinks for all of its customers, there have probably been a ton of shoppers who suddenly never wanted to leave. They likely did it to get rid of loose or single items but also just to provide everyone with the best shopping experience they've ever had. Grocery store trips suddenly got ten times better for everyone who comes to this store on the regular.
For some people, shopping is a tedious activity that they just want to end. That's why this store is giving out a bit of liquid fun to all its shoppers.
Poems Are Hard but Eating Bacon Isn't
Not everyone likes eating bacon, but this restaurant wants everyone to know that they at least have it available and that it tastes pretty good. They attempted to make a poem about it and instead created something that doesn't make much sense, but at least it's funny. Whoever wrote this, though, is right about one thing- poems are super hard, and eating is incredibly easy, which seems to be the point here.
This restaurant kept their advertising short and sweet, but it looks like they successfully got people's attention since someone stopped to take this picture as they were walking by the place.
Prices so Low, They're Out of a (Simpsons) Dream
Fry from the show Futurama might be one of the greatest animated characters of all time, so this electronic store created its own meme with him. If the low prices alone didn't help this store quickly sell its products, then this sign did. It was a great way to let its customers know that its sales are straight out of a dream, and they likely won't be able to find these prices anywhere else.
There's nothing better than walking into your favorite store to find super low prices. A surprise like that will certainly make anyone happy while also potentially emptying your wallet.
A Bit of Drinking Encouragement
Well, we sure do hope that nobody chose to actually drink all of the cider after seeing this sign. If so, the store that put this sign up would have a big mess to deal with. It seems like stores love having fun with memes and then sharing those with whoever walks into the store. Whether it's to boost their sales or just for laughing purposes, the strategy is truly a funny one.
Some people love cider, while others would prefer to drink anything else, but regardless, this place thought they would put a sign out to at least give customers a bit of encouragement.
Fight Colds Like the Success Kid
Not only is this sign well crafted by the hands of the artist, but we also can't deny the fact that it's just a touch inspiring. Who doesn't want to fight off cold and flu successfully during the Winter season? This sign is so effective that even we are tempted to find this store just to buy whatever products they have available in this section, and you probably feel the same way.
Nobody is more successful at anything than the Success Kid meme, who apparently also chooses to use homeopathic products from this specific section of the store just to stay healthy.
Coffee Is a Human Necessity
If we're being honest, we're going to say that education is way more important than a cup of coffee, but this sign is perfect for marketing purposes. This sign might inspire anyone heading to class to stop in and grab a cup of coffee before continuing to their final destination. Although an excellent education can guarantee an even better future, coffee at least makes everything better in the here and now- and that matters most.
Thankfully, coffee and education are actually a perfect pair, and we know this because most students enjoy buying a cup of coffee to accompany them before walking into a class.
Well, That Marketing Ploy Didn't Work Out Too Well
This soup company wanted to find out if their customers enjoy a light, homestyle version of what they typically sell. To do this, they put a giant button in front of the soup section of this supermarket to measure the number of likes in a month. Unfortunately, the number wasn't so high, so either not many people enjoyed this soup, or nobody felt like voting while they were shopping.
Either everyone in this grocery store's soup section walked right past the button without thinking twice, or not many people really like the Home Style version of this soup instead.
